Hi Group
How are you all doing?
let us have some good
ideas about extended
procedures and FileGroups
say we want to execute
everything from within sql
server
create a dir
delete a dir
create a file
delete a file
change dir
then some ideas on FileGroups
what they are
i had left them as unimportant
but they have been asked and
I was left agape
thanks and Regards

would you post your question more briefly to understand better and to get a
good answer ,
using seprate filegroup will definately boost your performance , Large Table
/ Indexs / tempdb (on raid 1 ) are help to boost your performance .
refer article below :
http://www.sql-server-performance.c...p?TOPIC_ID=9730
http://www.sql-server-performance.c...p?TOPIC_ID=7029
http://www.sql-server-performance.c...p?TOPIC_ID=8948
http://www.sql-server-performance.c...p?TOPIC_ID=8811
and a good article on File Group
http://www.sql-server-performance.c...performance.asp|||If you mean you want information about what these things are, then the
SQL Server BOL is the right place. For example, all your requirements
about creating directories etc, can be done by extended stored
procedures and BOL has good information on file groups.
