Actually, from the UI, there was no problem saving...it was asking me the
path....saving the data......able to open up the file........but all the
data was junk
My data was like :
Column1 Column2
Val11 Val21
Val12 Val22
but all was coming as junk.........not actually able to understand.......
I was opening that excel file in Excel 2000....where it was coming as junk
characters......
I happened to open that file on excel 2002......it all came in shape....so
the problem was resolved.
So now the problem remains : SQL server reporting services save the data in
format for Excel 2002 onwards on windows 2000 professional...What if I want
to get it saved in format of Excel for Excel 2000 or anything else.....
I hope you understand the problem.
Thanks,
Rahul.

Excel 2000.

Unless you are using some strange formulas, or exceeding an excel limit, I
do not have a clue....
My suggestion would be to reduce your problem to the simplest form, keep
eliminating things and testing until you get to the place where it works...
